How Will technology bring back young people to rural areas?

On the 25th of October, SmartAgriHubs, in collaboration with CEJA MIJARC Europe, RUMRA and Smart Villages, organized the meeting “How will technology bring back young people to rural areas?“. During the evnt representatives of European institutions and young farmers will have the chance to discuss how new technologies, Digital Innovation Hubs, smart solutions are accelerating digital transformation in the agricultural sector creating new opportunities.

The event will start at 9.30 am and end at 12 noon, and it will be structured into three sessions:

-Session 1: Challenges encountered by young farmers;

-Session 2: How DIHs can help overcome current obstacles in agriculture;

-Session 3: New communication and outreach tools for farmers, along with agri-tech career advice

During the event chaired by MEPs Bert-Jan Ruissen & Jeremy Decerle, some of the most innovative experiences in agri-tech will be presented. Among these, the case of Boote, a company founded  by Coldiretti young farmers who  created a technological platform (hardware, software and logic) that collects data on the health and welfare of grazing animals.
