FROM IDEA TO DEVELOPMENT AND DISSEMINATION

The idea of Coldiretti’s TerraInnova App on Rural Development was born from the collaboration with Coldiretti Giovani Impresa and from the need that emerged to have an innovative tool able to provide precise information on the opportunities offered by the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and, in particular, by Rural Development.

The development of the App was followed by the launch phase with 20 regional meetings involving over 3,000 participants, including young entrepreneurs and students from agricultural colleges. During the meetings, in addition to the presentation of the App, the opportunities offered by the Rural Development Programme of their region were illustrated. A twofold objective that has allowed the dissemination of an innovative tool to support young people who want to approach the sector or are already part of it, providing continuous updates on Rural Development opportunities, but also on the prices of agricultural products of interest to the user and the possibility to simulate the economic feasibility of their business idea through the Business Plan section.

The project is not yet finished and will continue with the aim of improving the tool and providing additional features to support farmers.
